Our beloved Tami, 63, of Bellingham, WA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 19, 2026. She was received in Heaven by all those who went before her that she so dearly missed.
Tami was lovingly welcomed by her parents, Darryl Edin and Lana Sanford on April 16, 1962- a day she would later designate as an international holiday, a day to always be celebrated.
Her journey would weave so many people and experiences throughout her short time here. Tami was a dedicated para-educator at Meridian School District for over 20 years. Her ability to connect with the most marginalized students made her a beacon of light. She was known for her incredible blue eyes, her sense of humor, and as someone we all could count on no matter the circumstances. We miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lana Day-Sanford; brother, Jim Bunker; and her longtime partner, Bruce Bayer. Her final resting place will be with her beloved Grandma Edin.
She is survived by her parents, Darryl and Marsha Edin; children, Milo (Emilie) and Nik (Terra); grandchildren, Julian, Ruby, Dykota, Peyton, and Aayah; brothers, Scott and Ken (Theresa); and nieces and nephew, Tuesday, Kayla, and Travis.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at Redeemer Lutheran Church 9858 W Smith Rd., Bellingham).
We love you to the moon and back.
