Tammy Stewart, age 66, passed away on March 5, 2026, due to her long suffering from COPD.
Tammy was the youngest of four children born to Earl and Peggy Linn of Bellingham, and she was much younger than her siblings. Her parents died when she was still a young child and she was raised between her sisters and brother, moving around to Washington, Oregon, California, Connecticut, and Arizona. Although she moved frequently, she bloomed wherever she was planted. Tammy made friends easily and mastered many activities, such as baton twirling, cheerleading, and gymnastics.
To Tammy, Bellingham was always home, and it is where she moved to raise her four sons, Steve Earl, Shawn Eric, Tim Ryan, and Trevor Lee. Family was always a priority for Tammy.
She was a talented poet who shared her gift freely with others. She wrote two books, “Gliding on Gold Dusted Brow,” containing some of her earlier poetry, and “Just Suppose.” She continued writing until her illness made it difficult to continue. Tammy was a committed Christian woman and loved her Heavenly Father. She was also a loving mother and devoted her life to her family.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Sherry and Peggy Ann, and her nephew Scotty.
She is survived by her four sons, and many grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Earl “Skip” and wife Patty; her nephews and nieces who were like siblings at times: Teri, Robbie, Earleen, Danny, Dawn, and Wendy; and her many grand-nieces and nephews. Tammy felt privileged to assist in raising some of her grandchildren, including Faith, Timmy, and Jayden.
Tammy was ready to be with the Lord and is at peace now. There are no services planned at this time. She will be missed by her family as well as her many, many friends.
