Roland Louis LaSalle, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1938, in St. Martinville, Louisiana, and lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and quiet strength.
A faithful member of the Church of God, Roland found purpose and peace in his spiritual walk. He spent many years as a truck driver, a career that showcased his dedication and reliability. Known for his steady presence, calm demeanor, and deep love for his family, Roland left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Rose Drachenberg LaSalle; his parents, Louis and Louise Marie Abbott LaSalle; his sister, Dorothy Oliver; and his nephews, Arnold Nelson and Bobby Oliver.
Roland is survived by his three children: Sjon LaSalle of Lake Stevens, Washington; Ronda Meadows of Whitwell, Tennessee; and Jed LaSalle of Utah. He also leaves behind three sisters: Florene Romero, Yvonne Nelson, and Ezola Fonteno. His legacy continues through many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory with love and pride.
Roland’s life was a testament to faith, family, and quiet perseverance. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
A private service will be held in celebration of his life.
