Robert Blair Parker, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 in Bellingham. Bob was 89, born on January 31, 1932 in Bellingham to Frank and Kathleen (Williams) Parker. He graduated from Bellingham High, Class of 1950 and served in the US Navy. He married Betty Horgdal on June 30, 1956 in Blaine, WA. Betty preceded him in death on October 23, 2018. Most of Bob’s working career was at Mobil Oil Refinery and he retired from British Petroleum in 1992. Bob was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. Together Bob and Betty enjoyed travel and their winters spent in Palm Desert. Bob was a big fan of Husky Football, a season ticket holder for decades. Bob was also preceded in death by son Timothy Parker, brother Larry Dunlap, and grandson Evan Thomas Stieve. He is survived by daughters Lori (husband Tom) Stieve of Bellingham and Lynn (husband Steve) Rau of Mill Creek, brother Jerry Dunlap of Maple Falls, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice House, Bellingham Food Bank or charity of your choice.
