Born on September 5, 1942 in Atlanta, GA, to parents Al and Lucille (Davis) Mendenhall, Perry passed away on December 20, 2024 in Bellingham, WA.
A proud veteran, Perry served as Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a Project Manager with Anvil Engineering for over 30 years before retirement.
He had a big camping family and loved hunting and fishing. A talented musician, Perry used to play in a band with his father. He also spent many years on a bowling league. After retiring, Perry and Carolyn did lots of traveling in their RV.
In recent years, he spent most his time either at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club golfing, or at the American Legion where he was Commander for two years and involved with the honor guard, SAL, Marine Corps League, and Legion Riders.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Amber and her husband Eric, and Chase and his wife Jeanette; grandchild, Connor; and sisters, Maryanne and Tricia and their families.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11am on Friday, Jan. 10 at Bayview Cemetery (1420 Woburn St., Bellingham) followed by a reception at Westford Funeral Home (1301 Broadway, Bellingham).
