Mary "Bobby" Burkard

Mary “Bobby” Burkard was born on August 5, 1937, in Jamestown, New York, to parents John and Thora (Benson) Keenan.

Bobby married Jack Burkard on August 22, 1959, and together they shared many years of love and companionship. She worked as a secretary for a law firm in New York and was known for her kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family.

Bobby was a devoted member of Church of the Assumption and lived a life grounded in faith and prayer. She was instrumental in the foundation of Hope House, where her caring spirit and commitment to helping others touched many lives. Her family will always remember how powerful her prayers were and take comfort in knowing they now have an angel watching over them from heaven. She enjoyed walking, reading, shopping, decorating for the holidays, watching romantic comedies, and collecting her beloved teddy bears.

Bobby was preceded in death by her husband, Jack. She is survived by her brothers, Richard (Lori) and Ken (Georganne); nephew, Brian; nieces, Rebecca, Maryellen, and Ruthanne; great-nephews, Quinn and Matthew; and great-niece, Isabella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Church of the Assumption in Bellingham. A reception will follow in the gymnasium.
