Kenny Westford, age 80, passed away at home in Anacortes, WA on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born October 3, 1944 in Bellingham, WA to Kris and Winnifred (Rocke) Westford. Kenny graduated from Everett High School in 1962 and served in the US Army for three years. He later attended Everett Community College where he learned the welding trade.
On February 14, 1970 Kenny married Gayle Conry at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Everett, WA. Together they raised their two children, Wendy and Scott. He worked for the Everett Shipyard for over 33 years as a Project Manager, winning many large contracts, including numerous ferries. He was also a passionate investor. Kenny and Gayle owned and operated a large storage facility in Smokey Point, WA for 14 years. In his retirement, he became an accomplished artist, known for his creations in fine woods, especially his nautilus shells and exotic boxes. Kenny was a perfectionist, and he always wanted things done right. He will be featured as a finalist at the Juried Art Show at the Anacortes Art Festival this August.
Kenny was a loving man and dearly loved his family, and all of his friends. He especially cherished his two grandchildren, Jake and Presley.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kris Westford, mother, Winnifred Desrosiers, and step-father Jerry Desrosiers. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gayle, daughter Wendy Westford, son Scott (Milena) Westford and their children Jake and Presley, five sisters, Dianne (Gene) Munson, Gay (Jim) Smith, Sharon Curran, Ruthanne Bush and Michelle Capps, and many loving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 10:30 AM at Church of the Assumption, 2116 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham, followed by a reception at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
