Karen Lyson, age 65, passed away in Missouri. She was born November 20, 1955 in Bellingham to Thomas and Mary Ellen (Catlin) Patenall. Karen always took care of her family and dearly loved her dog Raider. Her hobbies included photography, cooking, baking, swimming and crochet. She was like a second mom to her nieces and nephews, especially Renee Lucht Babayan, who remembers playing Super Nintendo with her often. Karen was a family peacemaker who brought a special light to others and had a loving and generous nature. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Lyson and her son Charles Wiley. Karen is survived by her step-father Richard (Linda) Lamm, daughter Melissa (Greg) Johnson, son Richard Wiley, grandchildren Alexis, Michael, Ritchie and Madison, sisters Julie Ann (Rick) Burleson and Shawn Wagner, brother Tom Patenall, Bob’s daughters Carrie and Amy, and many loving relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park on Thursday, August 12th at 2 PM with Fr. Cody Ross officiating. You may share memories with the family at
