John Paige Cofrin Jr.

It is with great love and sadness that we share the passing of John Paige Cofrin Jr., who died peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Bellingham, Washington, at the age of 75.

Born on January 16, 1950, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, John was a cherished son of Barbara and John Cofrin Sr. and brother to his five siblings. He graduated from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and went on to live a life full of adventure, creativity, and connection.

John spent many years in Hollywood, California, where he built a dynamic and fulfilling career in the film industry as a film producer for his company Selluloid. In 1994 John moved with his family to Bellingham, Washington, where he resided for the last 30 years. He was known for his magnetic personality, his quick wit, and his ability to make lifelong friends wherever he went.

John had a deep passion for car racing, sailing, travelling, and living life to the fullest. His enthusiasm for new experiences and his love for people made him a source of joy and inspiration to all who knew him. His vibrant spirit was contagious and will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

John is survived by his daughter, Kelly Cofrin, his ex-wife, Erin Cofrin, his granddaughter, Alice Mellick, and his siblings, Tish Shepard and Andrew Cofrin.

John's memory will be forever cherished by his many friends and loved ones. He will be remembered for his laughter, generosity, and zest for life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway, Bellingham, WA.
