Jean V. Dallas

October 27, 1927 — November 8, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Jean Dallas, 95, residing in Bellingham, passed away on November 8th at home. She was born in Seattle, WA to Clyde Gordon and Lucille Gordon Miller. Jean graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945. She married Marshall Dallas in 1948 and they had four children together.
They made their home in Seattle until moving to Bellingham in 1965. Jean was working for Seattle First National Bank (now Bank of America) at the time and was able to transfer to the Bellingham branch, where she ultimately retired after many years. Jean and Marshall also managed Bellingham’s Lake Padden Golf Course for 10 years until Marshall passed away in 1981.
Through the years, Jean enjoyed many trips to Hawaii with friends, traveling to Arizona to sit with grandkids, playing golf, reading and, most of all, playing Bridge with her many friends. She was an avid professional football and golf fan and was a member of the Bellingham Golf and Country Club since 1965.
Jean is survived by her children Steve (Julie) Dallas of Mesa, AZ, Dr. Jerry (Dixie) Dallas of Bellingham, Sue (Mel) Prather of Bellingham, and Jon (Jo) Dallas of Olympia. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren Dr. M. Aaron Dallas of Bellingham, Tad Dallas of Seattle, Heather (Lance) Calloway of Bellingham, Jennifer (Richard) Strickland of Bellingham, Michael (Maggie) Dallas of Olympia, Jake Dallas of Blaine, Jason (Kelly) Dallas of Memphis, TN, Kelli Dallas of Mesa, AZ and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Marshall Dallas, her father Clyde Gordon, mother Lucille Miller, and granddaughter Jan Prather.
At Jean’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The family wishes to thank Eden Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support during Jean’s illness.
