Erna E. Jensen

Mom passed away one day after her 96th birthday. She was born in Dover, Denmark. In 1958 the family moved to Canada for three years before immigrating to the United States. They settled in Bellingham June 1, 1961. After retiring, Mom and Dad spent 15 years wintering in California and enjoyed the “snowbird” lifestyle and sunshine, but also loved coming back to Bellingham. They went back to visit family and friends in Denmark many times and several came from Denmark to visit the US. Mom was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Geert in 2010, son Benny in 2018 and eight siblings, all in Denmark. She is survived by son John (Linda) of Ferndale, granddaughter Julie, great-granddaughter Kristina (Tyler) and great-grandson Antonio, great-great-grandchildren Fisher and Frankie Jo, all from Puyallup, and Benny’s wife Linda of Leavenworth. Also two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews in Denmark.
