Darrell David Jones

Darrell David Jones, age 64, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Bellingham.

He was born on May 27, 1961, in Bellingham, to David and Patricia (Smith) Jones.

Darrell loved adrenaline - whether it was cars, motorcycles, monster trucks, or simply the thrill of going fast. He also had a deep love for music; no matter the genre, he enjoyed it all. He loved collecting coins and memorabilia and had a strong interest in history. Above all, he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Jones; grandparents Jack and Charlotte Smith and Art and Minnie Jones; his nephew, George Shufelt Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and other family members.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Jones; his daughter, Lindsey Vanderyacht (Brian); his sister, Darlene Shufelt (George); his brother, Douglas Jones (Terri); his nieces, Brandi Shufelt, Holly Jones, and Sara Jones; his grandnieces, Taylor Shufelt and Charlotte Shufelt; as well as extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Even in his passing, Darrell chose to give the gift of sight through cornea donation with Lions World Vision, continuing to help others.

Though we are saddened by his passing, we find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain. A private family gathering will be held.
