Brian excelled in athletics, showcasing his talent and dedication on the football field at the college level at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, and as a wrestler during his high school years at Squalicum High School. His passion for sports was evident in his relentless pursuit of excellence and unwavering team spirit even in his elementary years at St. Anthony Elementary in Wailuku, Hawaii, and Assumption Catholic School in Bellingham.
Although he had not yet embarked on a professional career, Brian's potential and zest for life were boundless. His vibrant personality, kind heart, and infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Brian is predeceased by his grandfathers, Richard "Dick" Nelle, James "Jim" Hendricks, and Gerald "Jerry" Silves, his grandmothers, Lois Nelle, Joyce Johnson, and (biological) Constance "Connie" Bowman, and his paternal aunt, Lois Zimmer.
