Annette Hella Lyon

Annette Hella (Hattendorf) Lyon passed away in Lynden, WA on May 1, 2025.

Born on October 17, 1962, in Murrhardt, Germany, Annette was the youngest of six children born to Alexander and Hella Hattendorf.

Annette immigrated to the United States in 2009, settling in Washington State, and in 2012 she received her United States Citizenship. From childhood, Annette was known for her outgoing nature and ability to make friends. Her warm smile and keen sense of humor always brightened the day, and her quick wit often brought unexpected laughter. She had heartfelt compassion for people, especially children and animals.

She is survived by her two sons, Jake (of Everson) and Jordan (of Germany); her sisters Marina (of Everson) and Irene (of Everson); and her brother Gernot (of Germany).

Annette was respected and loved by everyone. She was generous, forgiving, and humble. Above all, she loved her job as a school bus driver and cherished the kids that rode with her.

Future services will be held with her family.
