Bellingham Cremation was founded on these principles:
- Provide a Bellingham family-owned Cremation Service to meet community needs.
- Ease the burden, both financial and emotional, that is placed upon the family.
- Make it possible for persons to preplan their own final arrangements.
- Provide freedom of choice.
- Offer a simple alternative to the large corporate operators, limited providers, and the traditional funeral system.
Six Ways Bellingham Cremation is Unique:
1. We Offer a Unique Family Experience. As a single location family business, we offer a personal experience to your family that is unique to Bellingham providers. No matter what options you select, we have the staff and facilities available to meet your needs.
2. We Include Value-added Services. The following services are provided to all our families free of charge- obituary placement, cemetery or scattering arrangements, death certificate filing, veteran’s burial and ceremony benefits, notification to social security, tribute DVD and placement on our website of the obituary, family photo album, and guestbook.
3. We are a Simple and Affordable Alternative to the Traditional Funeral System. Many Whatcom County families choose cremation for environmental reasons. Others have philosophical or religious reasons. Still others choose cremation because they feel it is simpler and less complicated. Whatever your reason, we provide cremation as an alternative to the traditional funeral system.
4. We are an Alternative to Corporate Operators such as the Neptune Society, ABC, SCI and other “chains” and “societies.” Because we are part of this community and family owned, you meet with us, the owners, who are focused on you and your needs rather than corporate profits, sales quotas or expansion plans.
5. We are Local. We know that people who live in Bellingham care most about its livability and future. We share those values. We are known for our community service and for contributing our time and resources to make Bellingham a better place to live.
6. We Can Meet at your Home or in our Office. Limited Providers may not have a local facility to meet with you in person. Cremation families appreciate being able to visit our office, meet our staff, and get answers to important cremation issues. Our facilities also include an area for full
cremation services, viewing area, and a historic reception facility. We work closely with Hospice of Whatcom County and other caregivers to provide a simple, affordable, in-home choice.
